This is so beautiful. I love how you've even captured the 'fuzziness' of a newborn baby. Your sculpture looks like it would be soft and squishy and it even tricked me into thinking I could sense that new baby smell lol.

As for concept the idea of putting him in a seashell adds to the sense of purity of the subject through his connection to the natural world. Reminds me of the saying "we belong to the earth, the earth does not belong to us."
