So I’ve not worked on my mlp next gen series in a long time, largely due to a lot of developments in season 7 and 8 of mlp rendering my original stories noncannon or at the very least things that would have sucked a lot of the emotional weight out of those stories. As a result a part of me has been seriously considering creating a sort of mlp reboot in my own style, something with similar characters but where I can write the family is magic stories that I wanted to tell that wouldn’t have worked with the fim cannon and that doubles down more heavily on the high fantasy and slice of life elements of mlp.
I’m still fighting with myself on the exact art style I want to go with but I think these have been my favorite character designs so far (the outfits are a bit all over the place, with some I was drawing these characters at fim casts ages while with others I was thinking of their future family is magic characterization, so like, Zoe looks young here but Iris is already a military officer soooo….)
But in any case, if you’d like to help me play around here you can ask me questions about these characters or make suggestions if you think I’ve failed to capture the things that made you fall in love with whichever character was your favorite from fim. I really would like to have other bronies help out by explaining what it is they love about their favorite pony.
