Description
First of all, please ignore the background for now. I was too tired to make it look nice. But I'll go back eventually.Also, my scanner did something to the left side of the picture, I'm not sure why.This is my absolute favorite scene from Return of the King. The emotion and acting was awesome in my opinion. I love the expression on Samwise and how he is holding Frodo. *sigh* I love it ^_^x
Overall, I'm very happy with how this turned out. It still needs some fine tuning, but I need to take a break before I go back to this. I hope everyone likes it!

I love Frodo and Sam.
This is a fantastic moment to capture. Sam's dedication to Frodo is inspiring--when he literally carries Frodo, as he has symbolically done for so long, I get chills.
I'm taking a drawing class, and I'm hoping my skills will improve enough that I will feel as if I can do people justice in my art.
I've always wanted to capture a moment like this, or any small, passing moment in which Sam and Frodo are looking at each other and you, the viewer, can sense their connection.
I'd also love to draw the scene in Shelob's cave, in which Galadriel appears to Frodo. The image of a beautiful, regal elf comforting a weary Hobbit is touching to me.

Just a word on the background... you may think it's ugly, but it's elegantly simple. It draws attention to the foreground...and to Frodo and Sam. A gorgeous background would deplete the raw emotion that is captured in that moment.

Mweeee.... I loved that scene too. This is the part in the movie that I started crying, and I didn't stop until about 5 minutes after the movie was over. That's a loooong time, but it was incredibly touching.
