Description Okay, spent the day mucking and got a start on the officers of the USS Minerva.

Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated, though i reserve the right to do what i want to do.

Next we have the Chief Science and First Officer for the Minerva. I ran into a wall on this one. She's suppose to be an Alpha Centaurian, but i found incredibly little to go on.

They're noted as one of the founding races in SFB's early years module. Where its noted, "The practical females who dominated the Alpha Centurian...", seemed to hint at a matriarchy. A perfect place to draw on for the Captain or First Officer. It's noted that they're suppose to be pretty advance, and hinted that they're responsible for earth having Warp Technology.

This is however everything i know about them. I'm not even sure what to name her. Some help here would be a good thing. I found this image [link] while searching for information on Alpha Centaurans so i went with typical human female.

I like the look and theory of this character. I'm just really shaky on the specifics for the race, and what they're suppose to look like. There was an Earth Colony there, so i guess she can be a transplanted human from Alpha Centuria. I'm just curious what the natives are like.

Any feed back on name, or appearance for this race would be appreciated. If I find that i'm way way way off on this i can go to plan B, give her a yellow shirt and make her the human captain.

I've been told...

They look like humans.

"Humanoids from Alpha Centauri are so genetically close to humans as to be distinguishable only by scans at the tissue/cell/sub-cell level, where certain neural pathways and mitochondrial metabolic processes work 'a little differently.' This genetic closeness is widely considered to be the direct result and best evidence of ancient 'seeding' or other interference with humanoid life in the Alpha Quadrant by some mysterious precursor race. Centaurans are, as a stereotypical rule, more pacifistic and philosophical than Terrans, equally valuing science and aesthetics, and are widely considered to have been the 'bridge' between human and Vulcan which allowed both races to come together to found the Federation. The Centaurans therefore wield a great deal of quiet, behind-the-scenes influence, as one of the bedrock foundations of the UFP. "

So she's well placed as the Science and First Officer it seems. Now i just need to come up with a name for her.
