Description
This is a sculpture made in my Garde Manger class. Its 12 inches high and 10 across, and madeentirely of lamb fat. First I made the rectangle shape, then cut out the center. I then carved the three rabbits out of the center and popped it back in. It was then put under a paint stripper to make it glossy. So this was a good 6 hours of work, and I hope you all enjoy!Related content

What is Garde Manger class?

I'm in Culinary arts (food), Garde Manger is cold cooking/cold eating. So its mostly appetizers and salads. That was a class on center pieces.

It sounded like a foodie sorta thing. ^^ Most things french sounding either have to do with food or fencing.
I'm surprised what a nice sculptural material lamb fat makes. from the picture it almost looks like ivory and your sculpture looks very pretty.

For sure! lol. Its fun to work with as well, though smells after a while
Some of the other sculptures were amazing. After you finish, you take a heat gun and melt the fat and bring out the detail and the luster
