Description
So, here's the non-bg version. And with it, a small explanation for the title.Aimery is a phoenix, as many of you know. Again, most of you know that Aimery is quite happily married to 's Damien. While they were still just lovers, Damien began calling Aimery his "little bird". Thus, this title is born~

I think its really good. The only thing i would say is that the hands are kinda small. I for one hate drawing hands cuz its so hard. Yours are very good ..just small

Yeah, it is. XD;; My friend was spazzing at me because the lines were a bit wobbly, so I just did a quick edit, and never went back to completely fix it.

that's cool! I am really crap at making the link between the chest and hips on women look nice and not fat! I am not very good at detail either.

this is nice, but the legs are like uhm stiff? and it should have an environment to enhance the depth of the drawing. but all in all, its pretty good.

I have no background for this because I'm using it for a digital animation project, and it's easier to just have a white background to erase instead of a detailed background. Thanks for the input! I didn't mean to have the legs seem stiff. XD;;

Very nice. Use of complimentary colors is good, personally I don's see anything wrong with the artwork, maybe just try to get the proportions of the body down a little bit more.. I do think, however, you should try to insert a piece like this one into an environment, it would create the depth needed to really make your work POP!

Thank you~ The base sketch was made quickly, because I'd forgotten I needed it for my project. I left the background blank here because it's easier to use or erase a white background for my animation than it is to erase a full background. Thank you for the advice though, it is greatly appreciated.
I'm also having a little bit of difficulty with the anatomy, because I keep trying to emphasise the long, slender quality to his body and limbs. I based him essentially off of a swan.

What's happened to your drawings? You used to have wonderful anatomy, and beautiful detail. Now most of your stuff is disproportional and just scream "I'm becoming obssessed with furries and androgenous manwomen." I'm not saying that the latter is wrong, it's just become ALL YOU DRAW as of late.
I kind of miss the variety and beauty you used to put into all your artwork. Now it's just become fanart and constant OC stuff. I've been a fan of yours ever since we were in middle school, but this is becoming a bit over the top.

Well, I haven't done the fanart for a while. So...I can't say much on that. A lot of my drawings right now are done during 1st period, when I'm TAing for M. Holcomb. Also, I'm sort of experimenting with Aimery's stuff, especially since he's the easiest to draw.
As for my anatomy and detail...I try. But for a while, I've been on meds that screw with my concentration. That mixed with trying to make it simple leads to what I have now. Not to mention, I don't do too much on the computer, so of course my digital art isn't going to be as amazing as art straight from my sketchbook.
I'll try. Seriously, I will. You have to admit though, at least my characters aren't completely spaghetti limbs. XD

It was just a thought. You honestly don't have to listen to me, I'm just one voice. I was just stating what was on my mind. Above all, I truly am glad that you do express yourself.
But it's good to know that you're always willing to improve. That's what I've always loved about your art and your work ethic. You always want to strive to do better.

Thanks. It just...DOES make me upset a bit. I really value your opinion, hun, and I've got enough of my dad in me to want approval from people close to me.
Also, I think you're ignoring that I keep using Aimery drawings for homework...I'm using them in my animations class.
To address your point of me always drawing OCs and fanart: I don't do fanart anymore, much to the disappointment of a fair number of my watchers. Many watched just for my Bleach fanart and fanfiction. Also, I can't really do landscapes, because my camera doesn't pick them up from my sketchbooks. So what's left? OCs that I create either spur of the moment, or favourites that I draw over and over. Otherwise, I'm drawing commission drawings from Subeta and art trades.

That's what you have to get used to, love. Not everyone's going to think you're wonderful. That's life, you know? You'll have just as many enemies as you will have friends. Nothing wrong with that though.
I mispoke when I said fanart; and I note that I shouldn't have said it in the first place. And like I said to that other person that replied to me - my issue is more or less the quality than the content. I know the progress you've made over the last, what, five or six years? The art you made when we were freshmen and sophmores was absolutely astounding. Now it seems like you've kind of just gotten so comfortable with your drawings that you don't try to put that Siobhan-ness beauty they used to have.
But, like I said - this is just how *I* feel, and that doesn't necessarily mean that *I'm* right. It's just an opinion, so don't think that I love you any less or that I think, or perhaps anyone else thinks, that your art sucks. 'cause I know it doesn't.

It's more that you don't see half of my drawings, because I throw them in the trash. I'm trying to figure out exactly how I want to draw some of my characters, so they're not ending up in my gallery right now, because I'm not happy with them.

It was just startling. I'm doing this purely for fun, I'm not planning on making a career out of it. I guess I didn't really think that anyone would care what I drew, so long as it isn't offensive.

Well of course I care. Even if it isn't a career choice for you, it's still a medium of expression and such. Art can do a lot of things for this world, and why would I want to try to smote a flame rather than try to keep it burning? I don't want you to think that you need to just draw yourself into a rut, because no one will care. Of course we care. Your artwork is beautiful in its own right and can express a lot of things if given the chance.

I understand your logic, don't get me wrong, but in Flash's defense I understand where she is coming from...
I know that I like to draw things that are in my interest at the time, and completely purge all my art on the subject... like... centaurs... for a time (no matter how long) I will be most interested in that and draw only that... for those who watch me, they just stick with it until they get the new wave of my focuses and fascinations...
but a comment isn't the best place to put this, notes work too so that only two are involved and others don't pop in -points at self-

I understand your point and it's dually noted.
But I stand by my point. I'm more or less talking about the quality of her art, not the subject. I'm not going to censor myself because it's in the public eye. That's bad for her and bad for everyone else if she just hears the agreeable point and never hears dissent, you know?
As her friend, and as I've known her for a very long time, I feel my input is just as valid as everyone else's, even if it means pointing out something that everyone might disagree with.
