my guinea pig does that too! then i'm like "oh my gawd, must...hug"!
my cat just jumps on my lap or attacks me when she wants something -_-

Yes, screeching sounds that go straight through your heart. I once said to Kian (in public) "Aaww.. don't cry..mommy's here" when he did that and "hugged" him. For some reason some people looked at me thinking "WTF?" others were like "Aaaaaww"
