You have wonderful creations. What kind of material do you use to get the details? Did you make it with the other jewelry pieces or did you glue it? thanks for your creations, so beautiful

Sorry but I find it hard (impossibly) to believe that at least the castle isn't painted. Perhaps if you provided video proof, then I could reconsider but as it stands, sorry but I can't believe that. The way it's shaded, I'm sorry, I can't believe it wasn't painted.

There's a lot of techniques that can be used to paint with polymer clay, it's been done for decades by many artists. My favorite examples come from Kellie Mowat, she makes lovely 3D flowers with lots of details and color gradients. Here's a nice example of her work: youtu.be/izr25OKWfGM On a side note, asking an artist to make a video of their work may be considered rude, you're pretty much asking her to spill away her secrets. Not every artist feels comfortable making videos, specially when they depend on selling their creations to pay the bills.
I don't know if AngeniaC uses a similar technique, her technique may be entirely different. But I think the video proves that it's possible to paint and create color gradients with polymer clay.

thanks for talking about how they could not have done this i found a video that shows you n you tube. i appreciate your help www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWw_4o… there is the video of it and i can see how this person did the same thing but was more detailed with the polymer

If you don't work with polymer clay I can see how you wouldn't understand this technique and realize it's literally in almost every polymer clay video ever. It's basic layering and the easiest to do on a flat surface because you don't have to worry about distortion. It's nothing fancy you just have to have patience. Try rolling out a piece of clay less than an 1/8cm and see how much you can layer that before it really looks 3D. And you would be amazed at what caning can do if you've never heard of that.
Pieces like this aren't popular among the younger generation right now. Most clay artist are getting into the Kawaii trend, making special fx inspired pieces, or using clay with jewelry. So what you will find on the internet is probably not like this how that doesn't mean it's not possible. Plenty of artists around the world do this. You just don't realize it because it's in a different format, say a figurine.
And perhaps you need to zoom in on your PC cause after about 300-500% you'll notice that castle isn't as detailed as you think. It's very basic geometric shapes and indents that give the a great appearance. Miniature work is easier in this way. You can put in a lot of simple details to give the appearance of something greater and unless someone has the piece 3in from their face they have no idea because that's how the brain has interpreted the image.

I'm skeptical as well. The gradients/shading can be done by rolling it out with a presser a bunch of times, but the details themselves are what I can't picture as being entirely polymer.

Yeah. That's what I was thinking but I think I worded it wrong, lol.

You can actually use polymer clay this way. I am a polymer clay artist and I can attest that this can in fact be done. It requires a lot of painstaking work, which is what makes her work even more beautiful.

Show me a video of someone doing something this detailed with no paints? Because as it stands, I can see shading being done but the finer details.... Especially on a flat-surfaced piece of clay, I just can't believe it's not painted.

I don't have to show you a video. If you want to see someone doing it, then you can find one yourself on You Tube, I am sure. It is a matter of taking very tiny proportions of clay on the end of the tool, and very lightly smoothing it on to the base layer. And actually, this technique is done much easier on a flat piece of clay, especially if it has been pre-hardened. Artists use polymer clay in their paintings as well (I am one of them) and when the clay is really soft and warm, you can work it very thin like this.

Then why reply?
I said I found it hard to believe unless I saw a video of it (which I've not been able to find in a Google search) and I don't take people's words. That would be like me believing in the Enquirer when they claim someone gave birth to a boy-pig.
I assumed since I said that and you replied, I'd see if you had video. If you aren't willing to provide video then why even respond to my comment? I don't know you. I'm not taking your word for it, I'm sorry.
