While I haven't finished my little clay sculpture of my pony OC Wild Brush, I did doodle up a page of her. It started out with just her as a filly, pre-cutie-mark, but then sort of morphed into just trying out a drawing style for ponies that lands somewhere between the awesome new show and the old G1 ponies I grew up loving. Obviously this page of sketches tend more towards the new show. Colored bits are done with colored pencils. Dang, I should work more with colored pencils... I forgot how fun they are!

Anywho, for those who are interested in the thinking I've been doing for who Wild Brush is (that is, who she is beyond the awesome backstory gave me when he made her for me) and decided that as a filly, Wild Brush's crazy mane was completely unmanageable, and she was terribly afraid it meant her name and her future cutie mark might have to do with having a constant bad hair day. It wasn't until later that she got the mane tamed into the cleaner look she has as an adult pony.

Her pet is a little poison arrow tree frog named Prince Charming. He rides around on her shoulders, and often snatches paintbrushes and small paint pots for her with his bug-snatching tongue!

I also decided that she lives in a tree house. Not like Twilight's library built into a tree, but an actual tree house with a rope ladder and all. Don't know why, but I just love that. Must be my inner child. Wild Brush is going to be SO good for my inner child, I can already tell!

Soon to come: the little clay sculpture of Wild Brush, once I finish filling in some gaps, add Prince Charming to her shoulder, and re-bake it, then paint and photograph it. And very soon, a plushie version of Wild Brush, too! That's a weekend project. I'll be taking a pony pattern I found on devArt and tweaking it to suit her better. (full credit for the original pattern will of course be posted with that upload.)

And once more I have to thank the super sweet and amazing for gifting me with a three month subscription and even more for the cutest of cute pony characters I couldn't have made on my own! Go give him some love, because he totally deserves it!
