"Well, Pet, what do ya tink of me cooking skills?"How much troll is in this picture? Meiles of troll!
I have no idea if Meiles cooks or not, but I thought it'd be cute--since Yari likes food so much--if he learned how to cook for her. (though I'm tempted to say that his triple layer lemon-strawberry-chocolate cake sounds pretty fail if you ask me.) Well, Yari seems to be enjoying it, and that's what counts!
Yikes, speaking of fail, that background is really sad, and I'm sorry for it, but I had no good setting ideas. At all. Perhaps if one comes to me, I'll change that later.
This is a gift/trade-ish picture done for The darling couple Meiles and Yari are all hers.

I love the way you drew Yari, she looks so tiny and round and adorable. Meiles looks... unusually sweet. ^_~ I'm curious, do you work in pencil and paper and then scan to color, or is this all-digital?

Hehe, so glad you liked it! Yari's cuteness comes from her being chunky, I think, so I tried to play up her pudge.
As for how I usually do my pictures: I start with pencil and paper (never could get that drawing/painting on the computer to come out very well) and then ink the drawing and erase the pencil lines. Scan it and do some cleaning work with the black lines, and then color away in big, easy sections--partially because I'm lazy and partially because I sorta like the coloring book look.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that completely fails at digital line art. Though you can tell from my empty gallery, I fail hard enough at penciled line art that I won't post it. ^_~ I like the cel-shaded look of your stuff, too. There's something to be said for complex highlights and all that, but simple is good, too.

Meiles indeed doesn't cook. He usually just eats his food raw, until Yari came along and started cooking for him. Now SHE is a good cook

Oh I do! I find your lines quite fascinating. Like they feel very fluid and continuos, almost like they were all done without lifting the pen from the paper. I'm especially enticed with Yari's feet
