AFL II - Fight Nine - Maverick Vs TektronicEDIT - I started to really hate this pic so I've tarted it up somewhat and redid the colour job, added some word balloons with alternative dialogue and redrew Maverick's face a bit too. Not trying to gain any extra brownie points for this one, just changes for the sake of my own sanity.
I can now look at this with a smile rather than a scowl.

As for Tektronic, I was going to have him say something but it just wasn't working out for me. But he should totally have been saying "AUGH WTF OW" That would have summed it up to a tee. haha.

That's really sweet of you to say but even though several people have told me that it was fine as it was, I was unhappy with it and it was really making me cringe so I had to do something with it. It looks better now and I can move on now.

Hatchet and Maverick really are what Rocket and Bounce would have been if they'd been raised by the Adams family.... Nicely drawn. I especially like the last 'cut-through' panel.

If there was another page I can see them arguing over Tek's crumpled, smoldering heap. Tek wriggles slightly as they bicker and Mav kicks him as if to say, "You're not a part of this conversation."

great job,Just wondering about your col job(which still looks great to me.Is it normally what you to but just have finished to your usuale high standard,Hope that makes since let my try comparing it to something,am is this colouring like a pencil sketch before the inking.Well i think thats a good comparison i just havent articulated it very well

I normally use smooth shading so the colours belnd together nicely. Here I've gone for a haphazard cell shading style to save time.
Cell shading can look gorgeous but is more difficult than it looks to make it look good. and are both really good at it.
This pic was done without much care which as a result ended up looking rather messy. Hope this helps.

Brilliant - nice to see Hachet making an AFL appearance (especially in a mistaken attempt to win Mav over - so not going to happen!) - and I love the comment about hanging oput with weirdos - AFL to a tee! lol!
Drawing is great too - like the way Tek's legs are sort of buckling as he's hit by that cannon. My only complaint is that it would have been better if Mav had snatched Hachet's gun and fired the shot herself I think - but thsi is still great - especially the camera angle of that last pic! Thank God for AFL doctors!

Cheers K. That would have been cool actually. Bumping Hatchet out of the way and blasting Tek herself. Ah well. hindisght is 20/20 and I'm SO done with this piece now so I ain't fiddling around with it any more.

Sounds odd, but I think the slightly less smooth colourjob adds this a lot of oomph and motion in the energy department. Great work, another fine entry
