AFL5 Fight 2 - Veil vs Charlie (part 1)Round 2 - This time around, the fight was to take place in an abandoned textiles factory in honour of the AFL2 winner ~Loura 's Ragdoll. And because of that, you may (or may not) notice that the fabrics pictured in my backgrounds here are Ragdoll colour schemed.
This round, Veil is facing off against ~theshadowranger 's character Charlie. Veil didn't really want to give Charlie the chance to take her out with her powers. The idea of someone kicking you in the neck with the power of a thousand past ninja warriors isn't something you get up and walk away from...at least not right away. And so Veil played it sneaky...not that that's unusual. The needles were/are Ragdoll's weapon of choice. It made sense to me that there would be some lying around.

The last panel in this page is definitely my favorite, not only for the hilarious SFX, but also for the creative red/black contrast. That and Veil's delightfully psychotic smile.

Photoshop brushes and textures definitely helped, they really brought the backgrounds to life I think. The final panel here is my favourite too, I love silhouette shots. When done right, they can look pretty sweet. Glad you enjoyed the humour too. Thanks for the kind words and the fave.
