Heh, glad you like the color job! It was definitely an experiment of mine (I usually do a lot more cell shading, very little blending). I still have a lot to learn as far as realistic highlights and shadow are concerned, but practice makes better, and thanks for the compliment.

Nah, you don't see him often with his hat off, but when you do it's just shaved back. I didn't know that when I first started drawing him, though, and I'm not sure I would have drawn him that way even if I had known; I like it this way better. I have a thing for corn rows AND longer hair, so...yeah.

Thankies. I have yet to master the art of folds, but I'm working on it, so I appreciate the compliment. >.< And yeah, that's why I put up both versions; it bugs me when I like the sketch stage better than what I end up with an hour or three later.

Lol, that's okay! 8D Cornrows (not to mention long hair) are pretty great. I wonder if Tucker would be too wimpy to get them in, in canon XD

It only bugs me when I can't go back to the sketch stage. XD So at least you were doing this on the computer I think.

Pshhhh, nah...not if he thought they made him look sexy. How much it hurts also depends on who you have do them. If they're kina more loose, it really doesn't hurt as much (you just have to re-do them more often...>.<).

I HAVE INTERNETS! I was afraid I wouldn't have it for ages either! The move-in went pretty well...my dad rolled down the window the in the back of the car while driving seventy in the Pass with snow and fucking cold and freaked the hell out of me on the way up. I admit I shrieked. My ma went all "now daughter you need to remember not to scream when you're at school. They might think something is actually wrong"

Really, ma? I didn't know that! Gods ><

When we got here da and ma wanted to drop me off right away. There is tons of ice all around the roads too. So we're driving along and we turn like we had the past few times we been here. Eventually we got turned around in the school parking lots so I got out of the car and said to a few girls moving stuff

"Where can I find Stephens-Whitney?"

"Oh. That's in the center. I think you have to walk there."

"...that makes no sense."

Pop back into car, "Keep driving."

Da keeps driving

But...it was true THERE IS NO PARKING LOT CLOSE TO THE DORM! It sucks. We eventually, after about an hour of accidentally touring half of the school parking lots, found a map (on mah phone) and took a 'pedestrian' walkway/driveway that normally you're not supposed to drive on but the people who work here didn't say it wasn't wrong...

So we parked right outside the dorm and I met the RA and got my keys. Ma and da moved the stuff to just outside my door. We entered, I got mah stuff, ma and da did a random look around.

There was mold in the shower, and this morning I discovered mold on the window above my bed >< Ma went nuts and pretty much after we unloaded the stuff (it took a LOT of convincing to get her to STOP trying to put everything away RIGHT THAT MINUTE)we went off to the store, bought some cleaning supplies, went off to dinner.

Met someone my dad worked with who apparently lives nearby where we live. And then I discovered the WATER.

"This tastes funny."

"It's not poisoned."

"I know. It tastes funny."

Da tests, ma tests.

"Can't tell."

"It tastes like...there aren't any minerals."

"Oh. It's soft water."

"Ah. What's soft water?"

"It doesn't have minerals. The water's soft here."

"Then that's what I'm tasting. It's...soft. And sweet."

"Sweet?"

"Kind of."

And thus I learned that I have to clean with less soap because SOFT WATER does not clear away soap easy. Which sucks. I spent about an hour washing out a wash cloth this morning when I forgot. ><

And of course last night was the horror in discovering my computer is a pain in the ass concerning internet connections, which I knew, but when it refuses to connect because windows is a bitch? Well...I got upset. And ma...when she found out my internet WASN'T hooked up this morning...

"We should stay until after she gets it hooked up just in case."

"Wife..."

"No! She might flip out and then they'll kick her out!"

Really, ma? Thank you. Thank you for not believing in me. Gods. It wasn't THAT hard to get it fixed....

"What's the ethernet number? I can't find the ethernet number. It says it supposed to be 12 hex number things. It told me to do this ipconfig /all on the cmd window and I can't see it."

"Phsyical Address."

"But that doesn't--oh. Just take out the dashes! Wait...it says I'm already registered! But I didn't register! Did one of my dormmates register already?"

"Daughter it's to YOUR computer specifically."

"But--"

"Your harddrive data. They couldn't have. They're not here."

"Oh. OH! It works! Thank you da!"

Oh and the bathroom....

"I think we owe your dormmates a new towel." - Da

"We'll by a bathmat." - Ma

"Where those spots there?" - Da

"What'd you do, bleach the towel?" - Ma

"Do you think this was brown? Or purple?" - Da

"That's black, da. BLACK."

"Oh. We'll buy them a new one in the morning." - Da

"What did you DO?" - Me

"Forgot to move the towel."

And the shelves...

"There is not an outlet there!" - Ma

"Yes there is." - Da

Moves shelf, cup of silverware falls.

"...daughter you'd better wash those in the morning before your dormmates get back." - Ma

"Thanks da. THANKS."

That's pretty much been my two days. Now I'm just wondering when these two girls I'm supposed to share space with are...

XD Your parents are on par with mine in the amusing department. Sounds like fun. I never had that much trouble moving in. I usually tended to have pretty good luck with the quality of my living quarters and such. *knock on wood*

Also, you should read to ENCOURAGE me to draw fanart, yes, yes. Although, I will probably draw and write no matter what so I suppose that's not much incentive. I'm pretty bad at incentive, actually. v.v; 'Cause I tend to do whatever I do no matter what. XP Ah wellz. I can dream.

...stupid student internet thing with all your stupid answers. Now why didn't I look here BEFORE?! I found food information. Finally. But...what is Dinner Dollars?! Goodness I'm losing my mind. I'm supposed to have Dinner Dollars, right? Now where are those and how do I use them oh interesting piece of technology.

...yeah, didn't think you'd tell me where they could be used either. Oh well, I'm off to get food. Now to just bundle up....

I biked to Walmart and bought my own food on the credit card my parents bought me, buuuuut...you can probably go onto the school website, get a map and find out where the cafeteria/student union is; both those places usually have food.

Yeaaaah I know where the Student Union building is. I'm right next to it. It's just the places aren't always open at certain times. Like right now? Almost nothing's open for another half-hour for the dinner rush.

Haha, oh I'll read more of it that I can assure you. Right now...I need to figure out how to get food. I'm afraid the school wasn't really very good at explaining where to eat.

Or how to use these damn connection cards. Really, I know its supposed to pay for food and all but...HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE GODDAMMIT??!
