Don't steal the cats.

If someone calls the cat first, then I have to give it to them unless they whine about not having points at the moment.

If reserved, you have 3 weeks to get the points. That should be more than enough time. If it's over 3 weeks, I will have to resell unless you have a good reason for me to hold him/her longer.
