Who would you match to who. I can tell Edd is pretty much Bimbo to match Marie being Betty Boop

I was actually basing Edd on Glippo, from The Glippo Show scene in 'Ed n Seek', but I'm pretty sure Glippo was supposed to look like Bimbo, so technically yes!
Let's see if I remember all the characters I used as reference...
Ed - An actual design from season 1's 'Ed n Seek'
Edd - Glippo / Bimbo / other inkblot characters
Eddy - Punchy (Hawaiian Punch mascot) with more of a Little Rascals vibe
Kevin - Popeye (head), maybe a little Osomatsu in his shirt
Nazz - Olive Oyl, maybe a little Minnie Mouse
Jonny - None besides mimicking the style of Ed's design and continuing the Little Rascals aesthetics
Plank - Mr. Sun from 'The Eds Are Coming', the general concept of living dancing inanimate objects in rubberhouse animation
Rolf - Popeye (body), Horace Horse (the thing on his neck), Rolf's sailor suit from Jimmy's dream in 'The Eds Are Coming'
Lee - Lena Hyena from Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Marie - yes, Betty Boop!
May - Somewhere between Bugs Bunny and Oswald the Rabbit
Sarah - Lucy Van Pelt, I think
Jimmy - none, but inspired by the sort of weird recurring gimmicky gag characters you'd see in old comics like Popeye
Bro - sort of like Mugsy and Rocky combined, plus I wanted him to have a more old-fashioned sports-related article of clothing to match Bro's 62 jersey.

I'm liking what was done with Edd and Kevin. Edd having the whole Mickey Mouse look to him, Kevin with the Popeye sneer on his face, though Rolf more so resembling him with the arms and whatnot. XD All in all It's great to see the designs of the characters reflecting and paying homage to so characters from the era. I'm just now noticing the Betty Boop look that Marie's sporting. Good stuff. ^__^
