Here's number 10 of my 13 monsters! This toy may look adorable at first, but behind it's cute raggedy appearance lies something very sinister and otherworldly.
Darcy the Doll, the cutest toy you’ve ever seen. The best to hug, able to run about and play, and was a wonderful comfort when you slept. The best part: No batteries, no toxic materials, and it lasted for years! That was what the mysterious toymaker was looking to pitch this odd new toy, and while everyone else in the meeting seemed to enjoy them quite a bit, the head of Mond-ificent Toys Inc. was skeptical. It sounded like a bunch of promises that the toymaker couldn't keep, and his vote shot everyone else down until he could do a bit more testing. While the other executives groaned, the toymaker seemed understanding. With that, the head decided to hold onto the one doll for testing, in hopes of finding out just how truthful things were. He was promised a full report before the weekend would come around. When the weekend came and no report materialized, he went to the product testing lab himself. What he'd find was an empty lab, bloodstained coats littering the floors, and the Darcy Doll standing in the middle of the room staring right at him. The head burst out as fast as he could run, but the doll was faster. He tried to stab at the doll, but its body was impenetrable. And as its arms ripped open, revealing jet black claws, he'd see how much it loved to hug... With the head missing, Darcy the Doll would be on store shelves, with a modest price of only $6.66...
