I know! I know! ^.^ The whole Ash meets Red idea has been done already, but this is for a fan project I am working on. The story would involve an alternate version of Ash Ketchum/Satoshi. He's a what-if counterpart who keeps most of his Pokemon (including Greninja) and travels to a mysterious place called the "Destiny Frontier". However, this version of Ash discontinues his journey after his team almost gets killed by the Frontier Brain. Red would become a friend and temporary mentor to Ash, inspiring him to continue his journey after they team up (in Red's Dimension) and face a new evil organization known as "Team Tempest".

I amalgamated both Game Red and his Origins depiction. As for Ash, I wanted to make him look more serious and dark because of what he has and will experience in my story. Also, I realized the bottom of his pant legs were tucked into his shoes in his official design and that I accidentally drew them going over his shoes. x.x By the way, "Pokemon: The Canon Paradox" is not the name of my story. It's just a lame parody I made based on the title of a movie called Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.
