I was going to comment about the handprint, too XD
It actually looks like there's a blue handprint as well, if you look at the smaller version.

there are 2 options here:
option one: you read my mind before I uploaded the image
option two: or you understood the title which was referring to the hand, hence maroon, red, and the spoor, in other words print, basically red print xD

it actually isn't a hand, it is a tree, but it does really look like a hand. this is a version before I inked above it, i'll upload that later, you can see what it is more clearly with the other piece
