That is partially incorrect. Desmond was born in the States and on a 'Farm'.
He is mixed clearly due to the fact that not only he is the descendant of Ezio, as well as Altair (who is from a part of Arabia), Connor (half British, half Mohawk), and a lot more than you think of.
I apologize for that, but please research Desmond's story because it is what the AC series is talking about for most of the whole games now. =_=;
