Chapter Four

The next morning, a young servant knocked on the door and walked in with a few more books for her, "Ms. Connelly, I-" she gasped as she saw Prince Ajit in the bed with Emer, both of them naked, and dropped the books and ran out, "I am so sorry!" She quickly shut the door behind her. Ajit moaned and slowly opened his eyes and smiled as he saw Emer still in his arms and kissed her head and sat up and stretched as he looked out the window. Then he looked back at Emer and then looked down at his dhoti and picked it up and reached into it's pocket and pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing a pair of gold rings. One for him and one for her as tradition goes. He smiled as he gazed at them and turned to her and gently shook her. Emer moaned sweetly and opened her eyes, smiling. He smiled, "Good morning." he said. Emer smiled, "Good morning, Ajit." she said. "Emer..may I ask you something?" he asked as she sat up. Emer looked over at him and smiled as she nodded, "What is it?" she asked. Ajit showed her the rings, "Emer, marry me. Please." he said pleadingly. Emer gasped as she gazed at the rings, "Ajit..." she said as she gazed at him, her eyes brightened. He gazed at her, waiting for her answer. Emer smiled, "I will marry you, Ajit." she said as tears formed. He smiled and put the box down and took her ring from it and put it on her finger. Emer took his ring and put it on his finger. Ajit smiled and they both leaned over and their foreheads touched gently as their love grew greater.

After their announcement and the traditional "pre-wedding rituals", their wedding day finally came. Emer was in her room with several female servants helping her put on her wedding sari. Emer smiled as she gazed at the satin dark pink skirt around her waist, showing off her pale slender stomach and the satin dark pink mid-driff blouse which they helped her put on. Then she watched as they picked up her silk rose pink sari and began to drape it around her waist tucking the edge of it into her skirt and they after they had it draped around her they took the other end of it and draped it over the back of her right shoulder until it was about knee level and then they gathered up the loose part of the sari end and moved it around until it covered her stomach and tucked a corner of it gently into her skirt. Emer gazed at it as the pearls and silver flowers gleamed in the sun and smiled happily. Then they sat her down and put on her dark pink flat-soled shoes on and then the put her long red hair into a braid and rolled it up into a bun and decorated it with silver ornaments.

Monthes later, Emer and Ajit have their wedding ceremony and then later after the reception and their honeymoon, Ajit smiles as they sit in their room as he rubs Emer's swollen belly and kisses her tenderly.
