Oneshot/short story

You put your sword back in its sheath with a loud clang before going back to a waiting silverette. He glares at you and you glare back.

"You take a long time to train yourself. Be quicker or I will leave you here alone," Vergil says; annoyance in his tone.

You make a low growl and turn away. "Well excuse me for not being born as Sparda's daughter!"

Vergil annoyed you more than anyone you had ever met. You liked him but that was all blinded by your annoyance and anger toward him. He was rude and cold to you, much to your confusion and anger. Heck even his twin, Dante, wasn't as annoying as the idiot standing in front of you. You had met his twin when you accidentally went inside a bar to get a drink.

"I never said you were useless, I just stated the fact that you are weak," Vergil pointed out, adding fuel to your boiling anger. You fumed.

"Then why do you want a 'weak' tool following you around and killing the living shit out of demons?!" you screeched. Vergil sighed.

"I've never thought of you as a tool. You are different," Vergil muttered before walking towards some ruins in the city.

"What are we doing here anyway?" you ask him. Vergil raises a brow as if saying 'Are- You-Stupid?' before sighing once more in annoyance.

"I just want to look around to see anything useful to use," Vergil says, kicking a stone into the darkness ahead. You roll your eyes.

"Yeah, because I'm to 'weak' to help," you mutter silently to yourself and cursing Vergil mentally. Vergil shook his head silently as you followed him towards a pile of rubble.

Vergil pulled apart the rubble, his icy-blue orbs scanning the area. You sat down on some broken stone and looked at him as he pulled out a long sword. He walked over to you and handed it.

"Try it," he said, no, commanded, you. You took it and took the sword out of its sheath before smashing it on a rock, cleanly slicing it in two. You put it back and said a small thank you.

Vergil was clearly shocked. "How'd you do that?"

"Practice," you say to him before asking. "Vergil, why do you hate being humane?"

"That is none of your business. Do not stick your nose in other people's troubles," Vergil warned. You rolled your eyes. "But, I do feel humane when I'm with you."

You looked at him in shock. "How's that even possible?"

"That I do not know," he says, smirking lightly. Then, his arm snaked around your waist, pulling you closer to him. "But, I do know of my feelings for you."

"Care to enlighten me of this feeling then?" you ask him, smirking smugly.

"I think the word is love," Vergil says before giving you a kiss on the lips. You kiss him back.

You both break apart and you giggle. "I didn't know you were quite the romantic."

"You have yet learned my humane side and I have yet to show it to you," Vergil answers with a smile before pulling you into another kiss.
