A little unexpected, but I just learned that The Lego Movie has turned 10 years old this week. Yup; it's been officially a whole decade now since one of the most critically acclaimed animated movies of the modern era hit theaters, made nearly half a billion dollars in the box, and pretty much defied a new generation. With its stunning animation, great ensemble cast of characters (including some familiar ones like Batman and Superman), amazing voice acting, neat story, good balance of humor and emotion, and awesome musical score, The Lego Movie is not only one of my favorite animated movies of all time, but also a wonderful love letter to the Lego community. And I'd say that it still holds up well to this day.

To celebrate 10 years of The Lego Movie, I decided to make a GIMP picture (the first one in half a year) featuring main protagonist Emmet Brickowski and his girlfriend Lucy "Wyldstyle".
