Soooo, I did a thing!
I didn't knew that I could be so creative XDD
Actually I'm kinda proud cx
But anyways, I really hope that you like this species!

What are "Chandellere's" ?
Chandellere's are human-like spirit creatures, that are mostly found living in old castles with big libraries.
Where are they from ?
Chandellere's are from a place called "Mystique Librería"*
How are they born ?
It's unknown how they are born, but there are some theories about it.
Some people say it's when an author dies and other say that it happens when an all-time bestseller is written.
Do they possess any special abilities ?
They do possess pyrokinetic abilities, which they only use to protect their libraries or to lighten up a candle.
But the one, who are in possession of one of the "Guardian Keys" are in charge of stronger pyrokinesis and telekineses.
Do they have some kind of "mission" ?
Yes, they do.
They're mission and most likely whole point of life, is to protect the books and libraries they're living in.
The ones with guardian keys are in charge of guarding the Mystique Librería.
Do they eat ? If so, what do they eat ?
They do eat.
Usual they eat the same as humans, but they do enjoy eating manuscripts and old stories.
Can they have children ?
Yepp
In order to have a child, two Chandellere's have to drip wax from their "life-candles" into an empty tea light-pot.
When the new formed candle is dry, they lighten it up by using their tail flame tip.

Also, can a chandelleres skin color be anything? Say like white, red, or black depending on their candle wax color, or do they have to be a more naturalesque skin tone?

Their skin colours are just as the same as of humans, there are some cases where their skin colour graduates into their candle colour

These are awesome, i think i might make one.. quick question- is the child/teenage/adult candle for the skull, and is the skull actually their own skull from when they died or more of a companion/companion or loved one's skull?

The child/teenage/adult candle is for the rough age of a Chandellere and the skulls they carry, may or may not be the skull of an (famous) author
It is unclear atm

Okay, so I want to say that there's multiple ways that a chandellere can be created, but for this particular way it would be that a chandellere is a ghost a normal human spirit that for whatever reason can't be at rest, so they wander around in the afterlife looking for a way to spend the rest of their existence. They find out that the only form of entertainment is books (i'm basing this in around shakespeare time, some time when writing was very big and done on parchment with ink and a feather.) and become attached to reading and the author of their choosing. Back then, a writer couldn't work properly a night/inside without the proper resources of a candle light, and so the spark to help their favorite author in any means necessary would spark a flame/light inside the ghost, and they would become a living candle from the remains for the candles near the author (from hours of them writing away) I want to say there has to be intense emotion for a chandellere to be created this way- either intense love, protection, or feelings of loss (if the author died before the ghost could transforms and/or they see them die) as for the skull, it would be the author's skull who had sparked the chandellere's flame.. if an author is already being proteccted by a chandellere, then the chandellere will become protective and wont allow others ghosts near their author.... this is so that when the author dies, they wont fight over the skull, it being a very sacred thing for the chandellere to pour out their souls and wax in grief onto the author's skull, which they keep protected.

Like, the ghost was a child from when they died, and the author either read/muttered aloud as if telling the child a bedtime story, and/or through the years had taught themselves how to read.
