Davy Jones..yehp..i think i actually draw better with traditional. My digital sucks so much lol, anyways as usual..Crits are welcome!Took 2 hours to complete.
Used charcole,mini stomp, tortillian.

I was actually in art class when i drew this, the charcoal helped alot getting the hat that dark, and most of the job was done with a 0.5 mechanical pencil and alot of pressing my eyeball against the paper haha, trying to make lught spots show by getting the dark spots to make them pop out : )

so how long have you been drawing? Ive actually been drawing since the sixth grade but its been off and on its not like i actually pratice but im ok most of mine are old pics so im in the process of redrawing them, but yours is something else. did you draw it from a picture of free hand?

i drew this one free hand, my art class was fine arts, and i finished before the class and i did this picture before i left, ive been drawing seriously for 3 years, use to be on and off from 5th through 9th but art wasnt on my mind like it is today : )

I pretty much have to get serious because im thinking of attending Cleveland Institute of Art, nice picture super inspiring.

but like reyru said, I think the tentacles look abit dry *shot*
Maybe a highlight or two will distinguish the reflective light caught on his tentacles?

Yeah they look dry, but i am done working on this, I haven't drawn in a while now, i need to start drawing again, i think i am losing it lol~ but thank you though for commenting.

wow, awesome sause XD (sorry, it's a term my friend uses and she's rubbed off on me...) I absolutely love the detail <3 his beard tentacles seem perhaps just a tad bit rigid, instead of curly and flowy, but that may be because of your scanner. D: either way, this is really cool <3

lol i think it looks great! just that maybe the tentacles are not really tentacle-looking~ O.o;;; make it look a bit more slimy coz it looks quite stagnant and 'tree-like' if you get wat i men XD;;; but other than that i think overall its quite good "D ganbatte!
