I love Dartmoor, even though it is a trashed man-made environment, You cannot help but ponder about the world when you are surrounded by the bleakness of moorland. I saw this image of a Dartmoor pony on a magazine and I tried to copy the pony by applying direct brushwork as opposed to sketching it carefully as I usually do. Those of you who are professional do this all the time, or not as the case may be. Some of us which are very green at art tend to be way more cautious. Well... caution went out of the door for this one and the result was much better than I ever thought! So lesson learnt... sod caution!
