That's lovely!
I feel a bit dirty for doing this, but I bought some ink and a brush, made monochrome texture sheets, and scanned them. Now I can use those scans as layers in Photoshop under my colours. I learned this from Emily Carroll's hints, and it works! Wet-edged brushes even get the dark edge to the colour areas.
I know it's not as nice as the real thing, but if you were doing commercial work that needed to be very brightly coloured, or if it had to be adjustable, then it's a good solution.

Well that is a great solution, I happen to have used it once or twice, especially in design works for college. It's quick and it gives you a nice handmade touch, when you have no time to actually make the real thing.
