Nice! So you're working with Illustrator now?

We need Inklings, damn it! It's actually pretty easy to go around pencil scans with the Pen tool when you get used to it though, I suppose. I still want that toy.
There's a huge sale going on at TAD Media with might interest you. It was 50% off over Christmas, and now it's gone even lower. I don't know if you're familiar with TAD, but they're mainly concerned with educating artists for the entertainment industry. Most videos are centred around Photoshop, some deal with Painter and a couple are about traditional media. Although most are teaching digital art, they're definitely about digital paint - I don't think any teach specifically about Illustrator.

At first glance you might think that most aren't useful for you, but I've been pleasantly surprised by some of them. I'm not really into the Frazetta/Boris Vallejo-influenced fantasy style, but I took a chance on some of these anyway and learned a huge amount. I feel a bit bad for not buying Aurelie Neyret's video [link] yet, because I love her illustration (blog! [link] ), but I was trying to limit myself to the kind of rendering and texture that I need to learn right now. They give you the PSD files, and sometimes brushes and tools too. I've been using Whit Brachna's tools all the time since I bought his Masks and Environmental Speedpainting videos.
I think Brad Rigney's download probably taught me the most about technique and how to use brushes. The anatomy class from the streaming classes was really good as well, but you've probably covered similar things in as much detail in your education.
Oops. I now realise I've bought 14 download titles (more if you could the multi-part ones), and 3 streaming classes. I'd better be good at drawing after all this
