Awww... thank you, dear! I'm so glad you like it! I have better ones coming. I've already rendered them, but post them in the order rendered (or I'd never post some of the older renders) so these better ones are going to take a bit to get to.

Excellent fractal! Wonderful gradient with great design!

Looks like you must've used quite a few triangles to make that one...

Gee... I can't remember how many I used. Want me to look it up and let you know? I am having so much fun with these JuliaN's!
Thanks for the compliment AND for the ! I don't you don't mind me replying to both here and combining messages?

No problem!
If you wanna look up how many triangles are in that, that'd be cool!

Four triangles... one blur and three juliaN. Would you like me to send you the parameters so you can look at it?

Only four...Hmm...Looked like more to me...I guess I have to try harder to get something like that, because I can't seem to get much with only 4 triangles.

anjaleck In reply to ShylerShy [2007-05-30 21:09:47 +0000 UTC]

What I did with this one was moved the triangles up and/or down... sometimes by a lot, sometimes by not so much. I'll have to look again - I think I had them pretty evenly spaced on the base. I'll also look to see what juliaN values I used. So... please send me another message? Mine automatically disappear when I reply (on of the benefits - or not in this case)of subscribing... I was given a free gift, and got HOOKED! lol)

Ok...I seem to have figured out what on earth I was doing wrong. I reread =ClaireJones Julian Tutorial, and evidently if you don't set values to a certain number, it really changes what the variation does, so now I seem to know what I'm doing a little more.

Thank you very much for the compliment! I have some to post later on (not tonight, but later in my posting order) that I think are much better. I've got them rendered, but also have some older renders that I will post first. I follow that rule because if I don't post the oldest ones first, I might never post them. It seems like the newer fractals are always nicer than the older ones. *grin*

now that could be a cathedral ceiling somewhere

instead of blur try radial blur or square...

then your circle in the middle won't look like such a circle

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

anjaleck In reply to one-tough-one [2007-06-01 01:11:07 +0000 UTC]

Hey, Big,

I see by the title of your journal entry that you don't have to make any more trips right away. What a pain in the patootie to have to move that way!

I tried radial blur and squares both on this one and didn't like the effect of either. I'll keep trying those variations, though, because I'm sure I will like the effect on one sooner or later.

Love and hugs,
Anj

yeah a big pain...

but oh well you do what you have to...

oh try combining square with sinusodial...

I'll have to go back to the one I did...

But remind me I will find it for you later

anjaleck In reply to one-tough-one [2007-06-02 03:04:54 +0000 UTC]

I'll try to remember to remind you! *grin*

We still don't know about the 23+ acre place yet. Tendered a contract but they came back with terms and we marked up those terms and sent them to our agent today. We'll see where it goes. I'm not holding my breath for sure. Learned a lot of expensive lessons on that one.

Yeah sometimes you just have to wait and see what happens...

If it is meant to be it will be

anjaleck In reply to one-tough-one [2007-06-02 04:25:23 +0000 UTC]

That's what I'm feeling like right now. It will happen or it won't. Too badly burned on that last one... too much emotion invested, etc.
