I like the feel of this painting; it's ice cold and the man has his stick of awesome.

The background does confuse me a bit. I cannot tell if it is the ocean or just dark landscape. Also I cannot tell when the sky meets the horizon. I don't know if that was the feel you were going for or what...maybe I'm just the only one who is confused.

The background is supposed to be a plain of ice, but you´re right, it is quite hard to discern. I wanted the horizon to be a bit blurry to create an illusion of vastness...he should be alone with nothing but ice around him... guess I went overboard with the blurriness.

It's pretty normal in the Canadian Northern winter to not be able to discern where the sky meets the land

Mir gefällt die eisige Dynamik Deines Bildes,Du hast dem Inuit eine wunderschöne HabAcht Stellung gegeben.
So steht er da wie ein seltsam herrschendes Tier und überschaut mit kalt messendem Blick die lebensfeindliche Eiswüste seiner Umgebung.
Archaisch ist für mich der Anblick der zusammengeschobenen Eistrümmer ,auf denen dieser vermeintliche Gipfelbesteiger seinen Fuß besitzergreifend setzt.
Du hast mit Deinem Gemälde eine schöne Huldigung für diese äußersten Außenposten der Menschheit geschaffen,der Menschheit,die sich wie keine andere Tierart der Welt,unter den extremsten Bedingungen
einen Lebensraum erkämpft,für mich die Krone der Schöfung,zum Herrschen über alles Andere bestimmt.
Meine Verehrung für Dein eisblaues Acryl

Mich faszinieren Wüsten jeglicher Art, aber Eiswüsten im Besonderen. Die lebensfeindlichen Umweltbedingungen in Kombination mit der einzigartigen Schönheit der Landschaft und der scheinbaren Unberührtheit beeindrucken mich über alle Maßen.
