Right now, I am trying to learn how to become more advanced in use of colour - my work, at the moment, is to depict a forest at sunrise and a scenery of a young elf setting up camp. I was really worried and (tbh) utterly clueless how to make my idea look good.
Just studying your piece helped me an awful lot - THANK YOU!
The piece itself is awesome as well.
I love the suble yet rich use of colours in the background and how you operate the light in this piece to highling all the right and important spots. The character is interestingly designed and his posture seems natural and relaxed.
Foreground - midground - background is nicely established and clearly distincable.
I really like this piece and will add it to my favourites.
