ah... I have been working on this for awhile, not because it took a long time, but because I would open it up and then go on ff.net >.>

this is actually inspired by an old piece of 1890s-1910 poster art for a piece of music called 'my fox-trot girl', and, like many old pieces of poster art, I have no idea who the original artist was because no illustrators were listed in the book, which is a shame, I think it was released in either 1907 or 1917 (?)

this is, I should explain, a sort of test illustration for some packaging designs I am doing, it's going to be very turn of the century.

'Yet with these April sunsets, that somehow recall
My buried life, and Paris in the Spring,
I feel immeasurably at peace, and find the world
To be wonderful and youthful, after all.'
