Done with Photoshop CS5This was done for a competition where I had to make a drawing in a day. Must say, I didn't get much sleep as a result
As a hope you can see, it's King Bowser who captured Peach again! And this time he's huge.

I don't really know where the idea came from. I was just drawing various ideas on paper when this one came up.
Ideas don't tend to suddenly come up to me, I have to think about it and draw for inspiration to come.

Nice! This is a very cool work, I like the idea, it looks funny and well done.
I don't think I should critiq on this if you did it in a day (awesome o.o) so just a few things. Clouds look too rought, the color is very nice and maybe in other kind of illustration it could work, but city is smooth enought.
About the empire state I just saw it on tv 
Bue it's a very nice work. I like very much the scales of Bowser, general illumination (with that purple in the shadows and the deep blue at background) and the idea itself. Very good

Even if it was a day, it was many hours put in it, so I'd say it's worth critiquing
I must say I'm happy with the clouds, the violent splatter look fits the mood (wasn't really trying to make them look like clouds).
I agree with you about the perspective though, it's not working... I think it's because it's at a different angle than the other buildings, and it looks too thin... And as you said, the window edges are wrong.
Thanks a lot, I'm happy you liked the scales (truthfully a looot of time went into them, so I'm happy it gets noticed).
And yes, it was a one day event at my school. The goal is to create an artwork that fits the theme in 24 hours (and the theme is only reveled at the event).

Oh don't worry for the different angle on the building, it doesn't mind. Your horizon line is near the blue buildings, right? may be in the ground of the last row. Just make sure: all the lines must conect to the horizon line, and the corners of the buildings have to be coherent.
