Also.. as long as you say that you're willing to learn an you'd really love to have the experience, they'll consider looking at your resume.
At least, that's worked for me before.

This particular one is looking for two years of office experience. >< I studied business for a year in college, have always been good academically (although high school graduation was 8 years ago and my official college graduation was like 5 years ago), and I'm organized, decent with computers, and have an incredibly fast typing speed (96 wpm). I volunteered as a receptionist at a nonprofit employment agency for people with difficulties or just need a helping hand getting a job, but only for two months. They also want you to run various errands, which I'm very familiar with as I am the housebitchwife. It's a part-time job, and they even want you to say why it being part-time works for you. (I'll just send you the listing .) Hell, managing paperwork, appointments, bills, etc. is something I do regularly at home anyway. I just don't have anyone who can really vouch for me business-wise. Not that they're asking for references, but my resume doesn't show much... I don't even know if I should include the volunteering I only did for two months. >>
I just have such low self-esteem when it comes to jobs. I know I'm fully capable of jobs like being a hostess, food prep, server, cashier, etc - but it wreaks havoc on my blood sugar, it kills my feet, and I'm at the point in my life where I am done having jobs that are upwards of 60% physical (all actual jobs I have had were 100% physical). I KNOW I can file paperwork, send e-mails, answer and transfer phone calls (even though I hate it) - but I don't know how to prove it! You know? I got an interview for a data entry position when I was like 19 despite no experience, but being 25 and not having office experience just seems... sad? Like it's understandable if you're pretty fresh out of high school, but now....

Show the volunteering because it's relevant.
I know that it's really hard to apply for jobs and you probably think that you don't be able to do anything but.... I promise that you can.
It just feels like hell. Cause of my fibro I can't move very fast or lift anything really heavy. It's why I had to quit one of my favorite jobs was cause I couldn't keep up.
But you'll never know if you'll get it or not if you don't try.
If you don't get it, so what? At least you know.
I'm going to be 24 in April and I have 0 office experience.
I've done basically all retail or working with kids.
I believe in you. Even if you think your under qualified, go for it. Cause you never know <3
