Vision: I'm sorry but I really don't know or see any definite theme or message of this.
Originality: I did like the fact that the pony is different from the atmosphere of MLPFiM seeing that the character is darker with piercings and her cold expression. But the her hair style kind of subtracted it(don't get me wrong that's actually my favorite hairstyle) because this kind of looks like she's Pinkiemena's twin.
Technique: The pony looks clear and able to easily identify seeing that the lineart is smooth and crisp. However the background does not have the same promise. The lineart in the back ground is rather too sketchy and messy. The mare's body looks fantastic and quite flawless. You seem to have a strong understanding on mlp style.The coloring on the pony is properly laid out and in place seeing that I can see that the coloring bleed into the lineart. But the coloring on the background is meek and muddy. I can't find a definite light source. It looks like the highlights are hitting random places. The background seems to contradict the pony.
Impact: It's kind of plain and it doesn't looks like much is happening around here.
All in all great drawing skills on ponies but your background could've been better.

The major reason why the Background is Sketchy its because its a Cloud House and its also why she doesnt fit there. Like a dark pony in a light place.
For the Lightling... i suck at Lightning so i rather dont draw lightning then scraping one So its what i need to work on you're right ^^
For the hair style, yes it does look like Pinkamena BUT does that mean just because Pinkamena have her hair on one side that i cant have my own hair like that, and also its look like but its really much different as for the tail too.
For the theme its ask blog starter she just entered her new house so its empty and it also lack action. So yes you're right the Vision is totally not there lol same for the impact its meant to have nothing happining

Well first The Yin Yang here might be hard to tell but its split in half. It represent a disconnection between good and evil within her. Also she can control the good part in ponies while her alter ego can do that with the evil in ponies. She also because of this and like I hinted a split personality. I might made a better looking one later so the Yin Yang stand out.
And yes I do believe in good and evil within everyone.

Pretty neat drawing, I like all the punkish earrings in her design. Nice to see a rebellious pony to mix things up in Equestria. I also dig the background, cloudscapes must be an absolute pain to draw D:
