Saren in the game seemed not to tall and quite slender. It was a big surprise for me to see how big and bulky he was, compared to normal turian type. Garrus couldn't wait to pretend being him

He he. Well Saren seemed to have lost some of his turian features, maybe because of his 'gethification'? His hips for one thing are all wrong. And then there's that freaky looking arm of his.

He almost look like human with turian head
The arm is definitely geth, the rest of him looks like he's from some kind of turian subspecies. He's head is bigger, have very long parts coming from the cheekbone, probably have less horns? in his fringe, mandibles are longer, even his mouth sticks out more than in normal turian head. Oh he's very misterious specimen^^

Yes exactly. If he hadn't had a turian's head I wouldn't have known what species he was when I first encountered him.

Well, the head features might be unique to his family line. Plus, he's rather middle aged for a turian I guess, I think he's somewhere around fifty. So that alone might count for the long fringe and mandibles. If you look at Executor Pallin, who's been working for C-SEC for thirty years allegedly, so should also be around fifty, his mandibles are quite long as well.

But I agree with you, Saren is a bit of a mystery.

According to the ME timeline Saren was 44 during the events of the first game

Oh alright, well that's close enough to fifty for me, he he.

I just wonder .. how do turians age? Do they get weak and crippled like we do or what happens?

i've noticed that older turians like saren, oraka and pallin tend to have huskier voices than younger turians. that's probably just me though. my eyes probably play tricks on me but i think they also have a few wrinkles on their faces... more than younger turians. i have no idea if any of that is true or not

Oh, that was probably a rather old comment I left, I don't even remember it. I've developed the idea considerably since then and am just exploring the very idea of turian aging.

Indeed, I like that, and as far as I can tell, the older turians were portrayed by middle-aged or older human men, hence the slight variation. And yes, wrinkles and long, massive mandibles seem to be other visible cues, as well as long fringes I suppose.

well i saw the comment and decided to be miss helpful to the rescue once again even if it was a little too late. lol am i crazy to be creating a makeshift asari costume for an athletics carnival? the headfringe is made entirely of paper and tape lol

That's awesome! It's never too late when we're speculating about these things, is it? Espescially when there's no real canon reference in the matter.

Awww, really? Ha ha, good luck with that and please upload some pics, won't you? That's funny about the fringe by the way; I've been playing with the idea of young, adolescent turians with too short fringes to attract serious interest from the opposite sex. Would there be the turian equivalent of hair elongations, you think?
