Just imagine that one of your best friends speaks a completely weird language that creeps you out, out of nothing.

Well, though I can imagine Asari, humans, quarians, batarians and drells being able to learn languages of each other... Turians, hanar, elcors and volus are too different
Turians have sharp teeth, long jaw and those mandibles that undoubtedly play an important role in the creation of vowels and constants. Of course, they can produce constants and vowels but it'd be hard to them and us to imitate each other phonemes
But, well, if you have read the comic about First Contact War and The Illusive Man's past then you know that thank to the Reaper's device he can understand and even speak other races' languages. He spoke to Asari and spied... kinda... on Saren...
Well, anyway, I'd love to hear their speech. Other races' languages... as a linguist-to-be I just HAVE to do it! Do ya hear me, Bioware? Let us hear them !

I was always surprised nobody thought of taking an Elcor, Volus or Hanar and simply giving them a female voice without changing the model, like they did with the Salarians and Krogan. Possibly even a Turian, though that would be kind of odd. It would have stopped complaints about the lack of females without creating additional work.

They're a race of humanoid insectoid aliens who have cthulu/zoidberg esque faces. Watch the trailer, you'll understand.

My guess would've been a cross between a bird and a dinosaur.. whatever that sound would be. I laughed at the inching away of shepard. Aw.

Just as well Shep didn't understand him, then. Pick-up lines don't seem to be his strong suit. ^^
Well, he got better at it in ME3.
