This is what Shep should've done. And Garrus too, for that matter. The longer a throw you make, the more time the other person has for aiming, after all.They were probably just trying to make it easy on one another...
Also, sorry for bad drawing skills. With digital painting, I can mess around with a picture until it looks good, but with pen and crayons... well, once you've ruined an expression, there's no going back ^^
