I think your talking about a Valosa raptor. This isn't one it's a deinonychus...

Nope...I remember a book of mine as a kid (still have it in my cupboard) depicting Deinonychus without feathers. Velociraptor is the correct spelling of that and that raptor also had feathers, though it wasn't until fairly recently that the belief became widespread due to the finding of evidence. In my childhood book it also depicts Velociraptors without feathers too; that was just the belief at the time through lack of evidence to the contrary.

Oh, maybe. But I remember quite exactly the books I had back when I was a kid. There were some kind of magazines/encyclopedias. One of them had a deinonychus on the cover, beautiful painting, from a side, running at full speed, with it's specific claws ready for attack. It didn't have any feathers at all. It was 1998 or so. Maybe '96. And I'm pretty sure they presented it as being a deinonychus.
