Description November 06, 2009:
The transparent shawl-like cloth has yet to be refined and the final shadow casts are still not there, but basically only the background is needed by now. Although I did not wholly change the arm positions from the original sketch, I modified it as such that her right hand's holding one of her tessen. Man, I still find drawing hands difficult... x_x;

November 02, 2009:
I survived the typhoon, people! I also managed to finish about 50% of her outfit in the lull, but her sleeves and train have yet to be rendered properly. Oh yeah, she's the only one of my often-featured gijinkas whose costume was heavily influenced by Southeast Asian and Hindu styles (compared to the predominantly Chinese/Korean/Japanese styles of her companions, that is). ^_^

October 30, 2009:
FINALLY, on to her dress! I haven't done much; just the blouse and the middle part. I am also considering changing the hand/arm positions from the original sketch (specifically, letting her right hand hold a tessen and making it dangle freely on the side whilst the left hand is still raised to hold a star), but that's still tentative. But one thing I could say: her outfit is definitely the most... figure-hugging I have rendered for Palkia so far. I hope brother Dialga doesn't mind. ^_^;

October 28, 2009:
Added in her necklace. I completely changed the design from the last version she wore in Cosmic Covenant , but the pendant is still quite faithful to the original. And a note of interest: the beads on the "net" were not placed there randomly. Their places correspond roughly to the positions of the stars in the constellation of my Zodiac sign. ;-p

October 27, 2009:
Finally, her hair's done decently. ^_~ For the sake of this preview, I changed the background to white to show the contrast between the hair and skin. Also added a rosy cast to the skin tone to somehow give it some life. She looked even more dead than Giratina in the past WIPs, now that I think about it. O_o;

October 25, 2009:
Forgive me for spamming your inboxes with daily WIPs, but I badly need to monitor my progress if I were to cut the slack, which caused major delays in the previous artworks. x_x;

I drastically improved the shadowing on the face and laid down the somewhat-final look of her headpiece, but (apart from the still-unrefined hair) pardon the flat look of the dangling beadwork 'coz I have yet to add the essential shadow falls on them.

October 24, 2009:
Well, well, being the favorite gijinka of the artist has both its pros and cons. Sure, you get to be featured often, but you also are the first to be dragged to the operation table for plastic surgery whenever your fickle master wishes to try a new style. Gomen nasai, Kiya. ^_^;

Hair fall is definitely NOT yet final, and so are the colors.

From the original WIP:
The last of the series that included Time Transcender and Shadowed Reflections : the revamp of Starmaker. Most, if not all colors in this preview are subject to change. I am working on her headpiece here, so her hair and face are still sketchy.

This looks great and the fabrics are gorgeous. This continues to grow into such an amazing masterpiece. You really do deserve to have your own art show.

Wow, Kiya's coming along really well! I know what you mean, hands always seem like they're impossible to draw, but I think you got her hands right. I /really/ like the design of the gown, so many perfect little details. I can't believe how amazing you've gotten. Can't wait to see the final!!

This is looking absolutely amazing! There's absolutely nothing wrong with her hands at all, but I don't blame you for believing that they're still hard to draw. Hands have always been the bane of my art muse as well, trust me. x_x

But, even though this is't completely done yet, I want to let you know that I love it.
