Description Many thanks to The Calgary Jung Society  for choosing to feature this artwork to represent their event The Paradox of Love (featuring speaker Pittman McGehee).

Event details here: www.eventbrite.ca/event/710945…

“Scientists have often been baffled by the existence of spontaneous order in the universe. The laws of thermodynamics seem to dictate the opposite, that nature should inexorably degenerate toward a state of greater disorder, greater entropy. Yet all around us we see magnificent structures—galaxies, cells, ecosystems, human beings—that have all somehow managed to assemble themselves.”
- Steven Strogatz

Or, take a common allegory of the lotus: the ability to flower and thrive despite the roots being buried in muddy waters. A more in-depth artwork analysis: kuraki-yori.blogspot.com/2011/…

Photoshop CS3 and Apophysis (for the fractals).

Note: Scientists have an explanation for this so-called paradox, but it is up to you to figure out what it is. *wink*

So THAT's what the wings of a salamance gijinka look like. Very nice. I think you were a little paranoid about the 'nudity' of this picture though. Nothing shows.

Breath-taking again! Is he a Salamence?

Yes he is.

I also see it like this: Palkia as the one who organizes the thing Arceus creates, and Giratina as the disruptor of the order of things.

In my eyes She is the Cosmos-Mother, and Giratina is the Death-ruler. Dialga is the Balancer and the Time-Keeper.

Palkia is the queen of the visible world, and Giratina the king of the invisible world. Dialga through his time powers, keep the worlds balanced by keeping the flow of time going in Palkia's kingdom, while keeping time frozen in Giratina's world.

Those are very nice ideas that you put down. I also see Giratina as somehow being the embodiment of destruction, while Palkia exemplifies the ordered cosmos. Opposites in nature, but nonetheless still compliments of each other. Meanwhile Dialga, the temporal dimension, is vital in the cycle of death and rebirth. Quite a balancing factor, yes. (At least in principle.)

I enjoyed your reply, and even now, I can see Giratina on his throne of death, holding a Lucario skull while his Weavile Ninja queen stand beside him.

I'm very glad to see the final product and to really analyze it (I didn't want to spoil myself with the preview since you always make it even better when it is finished). Palkia and Salamence look FANTASTIC. I really love how you applied the fractal designs into this and it does fit so well with the theme you are going for. I think that my favorite part of this piece is how the more that I look at it, the more that I discover of this work and you really added a lot of great depth into a breath-taking piece.

Hah, it's quite amusing to see which people know who the characters actually were. XD Thanks for the feedback; I have been dying to experiment with fractals for a long time now, but I lacked the opportunity until Entropy Paradox.

Heheheh...it's easy for those who have been watching you a long time, right? ~_^ Especially since I've noticed these two getting a lot of special preferences for the fanfic. Fractals are so much fun and I want to experiment with them more

Yeah, I'm using those two as art guinea pigs (now I have both for male and female!). ^_^; I pretty much used modified pre-generated fractals for this work, but yeah, it's worth it to experiment with 'em. Geeky artworks galore!

Excellent work, Antarel ^_^ You already know what I think about these two together, and I love the wings and the background. I think it's one of my favourite artworks in your gallery ^_^

It is also one of my favorite works so far (and not just because Kiya and Kousei are topless). *winks* You can expect a chapter update on Starmaiden within this week or the next, by the way.
