Well, seen as the most conspicuous part of this pic is the shadows below the trees with the light surroudning them, and the fact that it's such a small part of this pic, I'd move a bit to where they'd be more noticeable.

id love to take a walk through this patch of green with a lighted stick in my hand and a can of icecold coke in the other. (winds are cool, breeze is fine, sun sinking into the horizon, and a smile from someone so divine... the conclusion of a beautiful day)

thankyou for the upload.

The only thing I reckon could be better - and this is being really, really petty now - is that not quite enough sky is shown. Maybe a tiny bit more would give a better sense of place?

but I really like this shot. it really has that wonderful early-morning-light feel!

My proposition:
reduce the image section to the trees on the right (where the light comes from) and remove the sepia a little bit.
cheers

I can only give you my amateur impression

I really like this shot... Seems like a lovely place... the colors give it a nostalgic old atmosphere...

I wouldn't change the angle of the shot, but perhaps I'd would have tried to catch a moment when the light was stronger, or more centered... (like coming off the end of the path, I'm a fan of contrast...)

Another suggestion would be to see how the shot woulds look in colors or in black and white... it could create some other interesting effects... it really depends on what impression you want to show...

Anyway, hope this helped...
Nice Work!!!!

Your amateur impression is as valuable to me as a expert one and i thank you for taking the time to give feedback ...

I'm chuffed you like it that is exactley what i was aiming for regarding a nostalgic old atmosphere and yes as a few people have said about trying it in different colours and light variations, i should have stuck around for a little longer but unfortunately i had ran out of time and had to get back... lucky the scene is only 10 min's away so i can go back any time and have a play around with the scene a little more ... once again thank you for taking time out of your day ..!

I'd have taken the picture a bit more to the right so that you could see the straight path withought distractions (the left tree in this picture). And I'd have tilted it a bit to the right, or not have tilted it to the left so it all looks straight.
Try taking pictures in colour, then if you'd like to have it in bw or sepia you can just change it on the computer.

Thanks for adding feedback, my main focus was the path between the trees and the dark and light areas but thank you for your perspective i really should have played with the scene much more..at the moment im trying really hard not to use the computer to edit the pictures iv just upgraded to my first DSLR and im trying to figure it out and be happy with the image as it is, you know like capturing a moment just as you meant it to be at that time ..! once again thank you for your comments ..!

I would've done the exact same thing you did and shot it again from a lower position. Like setting the camera down on the ground and aim it and then shot the picture. ut that's just me always looking for vantage points it looks very nice, do you live in a far or something cause those trees are too perfectly alined to be natuarally planted or something

hmm. The sky is completely white so I had expected to see some 100% blacks but I can see any. Try making the dark things darker and your picture will look a lot more contrasting. Its a nice nature shot =]

I think I would have gotten on the ground and taken a picture of the leaves and bottom of the tree, but far enough back to where the light shining could be seen in the background. It is a lovely capture!
For this particular angle though, I think black and white would suit it better. And then playing around with the contrast and greyscale shades could improve it and make a bigger impact .

I love the light, it's absolutely stunning! I think it would be more effective if you bumped up the contrast, and maybe had it in color, though. Right now it seems a little washed out.

Like others have said, desaturating the colours might have been a bit better than using sepia. A higher contrast would also bring out the light coming through the trees more.

As for how I'd actually shoot it, I'd probably have the path a little further to the left, to go with the rule of thirds. Apart from making the image slightly different from a lot of others which follow the same basic concept, it would allow more of the light coming through the trees into the picture. You can probably get an idea of how it would look just by cropping it or something in the short term. It's just something to think about
