I sometimes wonder if Airbus should replace its Beluga Transport Jets with the A380. It really looks like a Beluga Whale like the Beluga Transports.

There actually were plans to build the A380 in a freighter version, but production has been suspended as neither FedEx, UPS, Emirates or any other cargo airlines would take them. Airbus is planning to replace their A300-600ST/Beluga with a larger type based on the A330-200, where five of them will start ops in 2019 and the last Beluga will retire in 2025.
