This was one of my first quarter page illustrations I worked on. It was painted for Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook wayyyyyyyyy last year.

Its hilarious how OP they make the B Wing prototype in SW: Rebels.

To be honest, the weapons are very OP in the episode, but they drain all energy from the hyperdrive. So the prototype still has it's weakness. I guess they removed the powerful laser canon in favor of working hyperdrive on the regular model of the B-Wing.

Perhaps, still as a full combat purpose ship it was better to have the laser unless you planned on hit and run operations where the X and Y wing dominate the TIEs. With a carrier ship like a Corellian corvette would have been enough to compensate the lack of hyperdrive.

FFG's rulebooks are a little too pretty for tough-on-his-gamebooks me, but the prettiness is genuine and has much appeal, as this picture shows. It makes you want to be a hotshot pilot for the Rebel Alliance.
