Description The Combattante IV-HL is the Hellenic spec variant of CMN Combattante IV, originally designed for a Gulf country in mid 1990's (United Arab Emirates I think, but never built in real world). Like the HSY-60, they have CODAG propulsion, with twin MTU 16V595TE90 diesels and a single Allison 572KF11 gas turbine, coupled to three KaMeVa water jets, 2 outward small ones for the diesels and a large boost waterjet for the turbine. Dimensions is cloce to those of Combattante III but with increased beam. Armament is one 76mm OTO Melara SR, one RWS with a M791 gun (originally they had the older DEFA 554), 8 HSSM-2 or MM40 Block 3 antiship missiles and a ARIS VI-LW CIWS. Note that in HSY-60 and Combattante IV-HL this system has different missile arrangement of its 8 missiles. Finally, there are twin 533mm torpedo tubes at stern facing rearward equipped with surface torpedoes.

12 units are in service, split between Aegean Sea and Black Sea Fleets (6 each).
