A really old one as can be seen at the top right corner I guess I was still at school at the moment. Dug it up during the "pile of crappy teenage art revision" a week ago and kind of found it appealing. Well at least I'm only half ashamed of it

Wahtever happens cats always win There are just a few more works from that pile worth showing someone. Mostly sketches though. Made too much straightforward fantasy art at the time which seems uninteresting to me. I'll post the rest next week I guess.

This is a fine study, and a clean example of balance and composition. I like the suggestion of a puzzled mind and the blank stare that goes with it...the cat is a nice touch. They do like to study us. I have insomnia a lot, I can relate. There's an element of very creative suggestions in your symbolism. This could be a good one to paint too.

Thank you. I guess I'm way too concentrated on it's obvious technical failures like clumsy lines and rough hatching. If I made it now it would be completely different in style. Wouldn't make composition that straightforward and flat too. But the symbolism really seems to be quite readable when you describe it. Might have drifted too far from the state of mind I was in while making it so the actual content started to seem blurry and lacking.
