The idea that the orange bit is flame isn't very clear int he 2nd study. I like the simplicity of the fire image in the first study although again, it would be more clear if that shape more closely matched the default flame shape. I don't think it works well in blue. And I've always been a fan of keeping the logo and business font face seperate, but that ones just me.
