Hey guys!

I have decided to upload some of the photos taken by me that serve as inspiration/base of my illustrations, and I'm starting with Oppstrynsvatnet! As I said in the illustration, this lake is located east of the village of Stryn, and it´s surrounded by large mountains and glaciers that feed into the lake. We visited Norway last September/October (my parents, my boyfriend and me) and this was one of my personal highlights. I have never seen reflections in the water like I have seen in Norway, and this was, in my opinion, the most spectacular.

This image was shot from the middle of the lake, using our DJI Spark drone that we use to film our videos. That's why the colour balance is not perfect and we a bit of a burn area on the right On the right, there was a small deck that cannot be seen in this image but that inspired my illustration. I may upload another photo in which this dock is visible. You'll also realise there are some other differences when comparing with the illustration, and that's because I try to balance the amount of information and details with what could best work as an illustration, and not complicate my life even more! -It's difficult still, though hahaha
