Description 8x5in irregular shaped piece of slate. I cropped it to put it on here. got me thinking of making some crazy shaped canvases, some cool undulating off balance stuff. acrylic

O.O I have been out of touch for MUCH too long! Your art has progressed so much! I still have the watercolors you sent me yeeeeeaaaaars ago hanging on my wall, which still get constant attention from guests. I am super stoked to see that you've kept at it <3

that's cool you still have those. ive been doing my best to keep at it. recently had a good meltdown and tantrum. this is one of the most frustrating things ive done in my life. im always trying to live up to what ive already done, something that would have been great a year ago just doesn't do it for me anymore. though I know there are more greater images just waiting for me to coax them out. the possibilities of what can be keeps me looking for them.

Ah ha! the feeling is mutual. The only redeeming quality is stepping away from art out of frustration, and coming back to it only to be blown away at what can be produced. Its generally a conversation with myself that goes along the lines of "What the fuck... since when have I been able to draw that crisp and clean of a line? Why can't I ALWAYS do this, if the potential is there?" Followed by messing up the piece by trying too hard and giving up again out of frustration.

I use a straw to blend the paint together

I saw a horse thing in there. gave me the title. the tans and white mixed well with the rest. she does flow well also.
