Personality:

Loyal : Cash loves his humans with everything he is. His family, his farm, his friends, they are his life. He will protect them and love them until the end of his days. To his humans he is a fluff ball to cuddle with, a working companion to count on, and a guard to trust. To other dogs Cash is a fair and kind man who treats others how they treat him.

Wise : Cash is not really a dog of impulse. Most of the time he thinks about what he does before he does it, and there is always a good reason behind his actions. Being quiet and paying attention to a lot of things he learns quickly, and if he is curious or confused Cash makes a point of figuring out whats going on.

Happy : Though it can be easy to catch Cash in a cross mood the majority of the time he is a chipper dog. Greeting everyone he sees, licking his humans, lounging in the sun, he doesn’t dwell on sour things long and prefers to have a bounce in his steps.

Determined : As bred into all working dogs, he doesn’t give up. There is no throwing in the towel, or running off to find a warm fire to sleep by. You chase that cow until it goes where it should no matter how many times it kicks you, you protect that calf no matter how many coyotes there are, and you retrieve that ball even if it went in the cold river! This pig headed determination is hard to control, but due to his training if he’s called off by his humans he will come back, begrudgingly and unhappy about it, but he does as told none the less.

Pre-Group History:

Ranchers have been breeding dogs since the beginning of time. They take their best dogs and get even better puppies out of them, not paying any mind to bloodlines or breed, but instead the ability of the dog. Cash was born out of this belief. On a big cattle ranch his mother raised her puppies in a barn stall. Puppies were sold as they often are, and one of them was Cash.

The new family Cash went to was small humble couple who had just decided to get into ranching. Sure they had chickens and a few horses, but their two cows had suddenly grown into 6 after a live stock auction and they needed a little help. With a little training he picked up on his work happily and did his best to please his humans, but his work was not the center of his life. That was a little boy with bright red hair and blue eyes. The human toddler was already 2 by the time Cash was brought in to the family. Growing up with the boy who is now 5, Cash loves him. With everything in him he loves that boy. He goes were the little one goes, sleeps with him, sits in the truck with him, and waits patiently by the road when the kindergarten bus is due to arrive. Cash wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world than with that little boy.
