"...grow old with me"Ok, well, a little bit of explanation about the title. It comes from a line in a Joe Firstman song called "Lies"--- The original title of my piece, was in fact "lies", but i thought no one would get it. So i decided to just steal a line out of it. I'm tempted to post the lyrics but, I won't lol The song has this "sexual air" about it and it just fit the mood of the drawing so well. Thats really what I pulled it from.
To me, the drawing is more than "feet", there's an emotion there. Erotic, sexual, romantic. I don't know, maybe it's just me. Does that make me sound strange? lolol
Anyway, i digress. I'd drawn hands so many times i thought "why not feet" -- and this is the outcome. I really wasn't sure what catagory to put this in so, i stuck it in the usual lol I am actually quite proud of it, which is rare for me. I hope other people really like it too. It holds a special place in my heart lol
It's charcoal on 9X12 charcoal paper. About three hours, and lots of finger smudging lol

I hate feet - I really do! ..but these ones are nice, and you're right: there is something speciel about them and the angle.

beginning with the very first glance it's obvious, that there is an atmosphere of reliance, closeness, peace and (slight) sexuality. a very fine artwork!
to draw hands is a rather difficult task. feets (esp. in a close look) are more difficult. you've mastered the challenge.
charcoal at it's best. nothin' left to ciritizice.

This is superbly executed. It's a great example of the textures and feeling charcoal can give! I love the uniqueness of the subject, and even the pose of the subject. I've seldom seen a drawing of feet be so visceral, so sensual, so entertaining. It took me a moment to realize it was toes, and that those toes were upside down! It pleased me to look at this piece. I really WANTED to look at it, to explore the drawing with my eyes, and really see the folds and shapes and textures. Very inviting, very fun, very unique. BRAVO!!

You constantly amaze me. Hands are hard but naked, bare feet are difficult to pull off, especially in this pose. I like it, kind of a "wad of toes" and a difficult angle to understand. Charcoal does not like me so I avoid it at all cost.
